The movie adaptation of ‘Minecraft’ - which premiered in Portugal at the beginning of April - is already considered a box office success and, it seems, Warner Bros. Discovery is already thinking about a sequel.
Speaking to the Financial Times, the President of Production and Development at Warner Bros. Pictures, Jesse Ehrman, said that ‘A Minecraft Movie’ will (most likely) have a sequel.
“I mean, we'd be crazy not to,” he said. “The fans want more, so I think we'll be able to come up with something.”
Variety magazine reports that ‘A Minecraft Movie’ already has a global box office revenue of over 720 million dollars (633 million euros) and some predict that it could reach the 1 billion dollar mark (879 million euros).
