Jamie Carragher, former Liverpool captain and current sports commentator for British television station Sky Sports, didn't spare any criticism of Erik ten Hag on Monday, following Manchester United's 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.
“This is one of the worst-coached teams in the Premier League. It's a fact. It's not an opinion, it's a fact. The numbers tell you that, when you look at the number of shots conceded [317]. They're worse than Sheffield United [297],” said the 46-year-old former England international.
“I struggle to see how Manchester United could win today, but I thought Crystal Palace would win, 1-0 or 2-0. No Manchester United team should be beaten 4-0 by Crystal Palace,” he continued.
“Even if Manchester United had played their under-23 team, I wouldn't have expected them to lose 4-0. I've never been a manager, but I've been a player and I've been coached by top managers, and some of the things I see are just wrong,” he added.
