Lexus is preparing to launch a supercar powered by a V engine, whose main objective will be to rival the dominant forces in this segment, such as the Aston Martin Vantage or the Mercedes-AMG GT.
According to information published on Monday by the British website Autocar, the GT3 GR, a concept presented by the brand's parent company, Toyota, in 2022, has evolved into a prototype and has already begun testing at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.
The same publication adds that the aim of Gazoo Racing, the division responsible for developing this vehicle, is for it to be ready in 2026, in time to compete in the 'legendary' 24 Hours of Le Mans competition.
As yet, little is known about this 'bomb'. Even so, everything points to it having a block capable of producing between 500 and 600 horsepower and a maximum weight of 1300 kilograms.
