The documents of Jay Slater, the young British man who disappeared several weeks ago in Tenerife, were recovered along with the body discovered on Monday in the area where the disappearance took place.
The preliminary results of the autopsy on the body have not yet been revealed, as the corpse is in a high state of decomposition, but judicial sources have revealed that following the discovery of the documents "there is very little doubt" about the identity of the corpse, according to 20 minutes.
The autopsy will make it possible to determine the cause of Jay Slater's death, but the authorities believe that the young man suffered an accidental fall.
The body was discovered on Monday morning. The boy had been missing since June 17, after taking part in a music festival in Playa de Las Americas.
Jay Slater disappeared while trying to return to the AirBnb where he was staying. A search operation was set up for the young man, involving agents from various police forces, helicopters, drones and specialized search dogs.
