Three things you should never paint when remodeling your home:
Bathtubs. Anaïs Chaumien, an interior designer, explains that eventually “the paint will start to peel because of the water”;
Appliances. Gary McCoy, manager of Lowe's, recommends that you don't paint any appliances, as they are not usually made of adhesive material, “which means that the paint won't stick to the surface”;
Taps. “Due to the frequency with which taps are used and how often they come into contact with water, it is recommended that they are never painted,” he warns.
