Rumors have been circulating in recent months about the possibility of Apple eventually deciding to launch its own smart ring.
Now, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman claims that the 'Apple Company' has decided not to go ahead with the project, considering that a smart ring could end up hurting sales of the Apple Watch.
Although a good number of health and wellness features are included in smart watches, Apple believes that the practical and technical limitations of the smart ring would not make it a suitable successor to its Apple Watch.
As such, Apple (allegedly) plans to continue focusing on the Apple Watch as the device remains one of the most popular in the wearables segment.
