The transfer market closed just over a month ago, but Real Madrid are already looking to the summer of 2025, where the priority will be to acquire a new option for the midfield, given that Luka Modric is about to leave or even 'hang up his boots'.
According to Monday's edition of the Spanish newspaper As, the name that most appeals to the management led by Florentino Pérez is that of Florian Wirtz, a player of just 21 years of age who proved to be fundamental in Bayer Leverkusen's journey towards winning the German championship.
The same publication adds that, even so, this is an operation that doesn't appear to be easy to complete, not least because the team led by Xabi Alonso has already made it known that it will only release the youngster for 150 million euros.
We also have to take into account the competition from some of the biggest clubs in European soccer, including Manchester City, Bayern Munich... and Barcelona itself, which has already made an initial informal approach.
