Brazil Wants Luis Castro Back, But Demands 'Scare'

Luís Castro may be on the verge of returning to active duty, approximately two months after being fired from the technical command of Al Nassr, a team where he had the contribution of compatriots Cristiano Ronaldo and Otávio.

According to information provided, this Friday, by the Brazilian portal UOL Esporte, the Portuguese coach is one of the names that Corinthians like most for the next 2025 season, since, it seems, Ramón Díaz is not expected to remain in the position.

An operation that, however, does not appear to be simple to implement, due to the fact that the 63-year-old helmsman has already made it known that he intends to earn, roughly, double what the Argentine earns.

The technical committee of the São Paulo emblem receives a monthly salary in the order of one million reais (163 thousand euros), so the management's objective is to tempt Luís Castro to drastically reduce the demands.

The Portuguese, it is worth remembering, knows Canarian football well, given his time at Botafogo (currently led by Artur Jorge), between 2022 and 2023, when he left for Saudi Arabia, in a season that seemed destined to win the championship title.
