A fire at a take-away food restaurant in a residential area, during the early hours of the morning, on Seven Sisters Road, in Holloway, London, mobilized around 100 firefighters, supported by 15 cars, to fight the fire.
According to The Standard, it was possible to see clouds of smoke rising from the fire in a residential area - with residents having their windows and doors closed in their homes.
"There are road closures and we are asking people to avoid this area, especially as we enter peak traffic times," said Fire Commander Mike Watts, according to the British newspaper, adding that "the fire is creating a lot of smoke in the neighborhood and local residents have been advised to keep windows and doors closed while we work to control the fire.”
The alert was reportedly given at around 3.45am and firefighters were mobilized from Holloway, Kentish Town, Islington, Euston and other neighboring fire stations.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
