WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users of the application to quickly search for the source of images they receive in their chats.
As WABetaInfo reports, this feature is already available in the beta version of the Android app. As you can see in the image below, all you have to do is open the image, go to the menu in the top right-hand corner and press Search on web to be presented with similar images on Google.
The idea is that you'll be able to tell if an image you've been sent is reliable or not, with WhatsApp wanting to help fight disinformation with a tool that's now integrated into the app itself.
At the moment this feature is only available to users of the beta version, so we'll still have to wait and see when it will reach users of the final version.
