Back Surgery May Be Behind Healthcare CEO's Murder

Luigi Mangione, the young man suspected of killing the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, had been reported missing by his mother in early November.

According to North American media reports, the young man had undergone back surgery, after which he lost contact with his family.

His mother even reported him missing to authorities on November 18.

According to reports from friends and family, Luigi suffered an accident while surfing and needed back surgery. Since then, he suffered from various pains, which he tried to combat by seeking alternative treatments and psychedelics, namely through the consumption of magic mushrooms.

Those who knew him say that he changed his personality after this operation, even moving away from people.

The 26-year-old man, it is worth remembering, was found by police in Altoona, 500 kilometers west of New York, as part of the investigation into the murder last Wednesday in New York of the leader of UnitedHealthcare, authorities announced.

Mangione was charged with murder and held without bail in the state of Pennsylvania after a brief court appearance.
