The meeting planned for the end of next week in London, which aims to discuss issues such as the ceasefire in Ukraine between Europeans, Americans and Ukrainians, will include a delegation from Kyiv, it was announced today.
The composition of the delegation should be similar to the one that went to Paris on Wednesday.
“Ukraine will certainly be present at these negotiations,” said the advisor to the Ukrainian Presidential Office, Sergey Leshchenko, in statements reported by Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.
Leshchenko pointed out that the negotiating team will be present, but did not announce its composition, only putting forward a few names.
"I won't announce the composition. However, the head of the President's Office, Andry Yermak, the foreign minister and the defense minister were present at the negotiations held this week in Paris. Therefore, the composition will be adjusted if necessary," said Leshchenko.
The London meeting was presented as an opportunity to move towards a ceasefire and will take place just a week after the Paris meeting.
In the French capital, French President Emmanuel Macron held a working lunch to discuss, among other things, the ceasefire in Ukraine with two leading figures from the US government: Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump's special envoy, and Marco Rubio, US Secretary of State.
Officials from the UK and German governments were also present at the meeting
