Samsung Electronics Went On Strike For The First Time In South Korea

Samsung Electronics employees carried out the first strike at the multinational, which is now 55 years old, this Friday in South Korea.

According to international publications, employees are demanding a salary increase after negotiations with the Asian company failed.

According to the national union of Samsung Electronics said last week, around 28 thousand employees were expected to participate in this strike. These thousands represent 1/4 of the workers in the country.

However, the strike should not impact production at one of the smartphone and chip giants. The guarantee was given to CNN Internacional by a Samsung spokesperson.
